Around Cardiff With A Coconut

Not really a landmark, but if we're going to take a coconut about Cardiff then we can't be too serious about things. The Amersham research centre is also located just off junction 32 on the M4, and is big. Ed's dad also works there, so it is vaguely significant.

There have been stories of them giving off nuclear radiation to the surrounding area, as they handle radioactive waste from the local hospital. However, we were here for far more important research.

"Landmark Two - Take the photo before they shoot us."

Just out of shot is a huge mirrored hut between the "in" and "out" sections for the car park. Covered in one-way mirrors, and with security cameras everywhere, I had the feeling our presence would not be welcome if we lingered too long taking photographs.

Neither their science or our science must be obstructed, so we took a photo and carried on.

The biggest event of the whole expedition was to follow - a great big hill.

But go on, it'd be fun to see it happen elsewhere.
